Aww…Derek!

April 28, 2013 by Sudakshina

I’m a stickler for comedy, in all it’s forms-stand-up, sitcom, filmic, theatre, novels and whathaveyou. I can’t get enough of how these talented wits can eke out what we do wrong and what we think is ‘right’ but ends up looking downright silly or plain stupid!

What’s Normal?

March 24, 2013 by Sudakshina

Hi Blogworms, How goes it with you all? Good, I hope. 🙂 I’m back in London now and hope to be here for a while. So, I went shopping (no delays there, haha!) and came across a quirky little book, which calls itself ‘a journal’, and is called My Dysfunctions.  Oh wait, we’re online aren’t […]

Conundrums!

August 10, 2012 by Sudakshina 4 Comments

How long will it really take for God-Knows-How-Old certain stereotypes to go away, for good? I am, of course, referring to the perennial assumption and assignment of us womenfolk having to get educated, earn a ‘decent/good’ living, cook/clean/sew (in a continuous loop, as mess made by men and others will hardly ever be cleaned up by the messers themselves!), have kids, raise kids, worry for kids, cope with family (both in-tended and extended) and their competitive pressures, maintain friendships, do the grocery shopping, stack the kitchen, attend to guests, etc. (if I have missed anything out, please let me know)? 🙂

What Do You Mean?!

August 8, 2011 by Sudakshina Leave a Comment

Hello, my blogworms. 🙂 How goes it in the world of when we say something and mean something else? Or indeed vice versa, i.e. in the world of when we mean something but say something else?

Out of Depth!

July 4, 2011 by Sudakshina Leave a Comment

My past few blog posts have been based on India and my perspective of married life in India or the media in India, or….wait a minute, you already know that, as you’ve read the posts, haven’t you my blogworms?! So, for a welcome change, I’ll make this month’s post be about my observations on the levels of […]
