A big Hello to you all! ๐
It has been a long time coming since I blogged on my own blog, because I’ve been busy in managing other blogs and websites for a living and dealing with a whole lot else that Life threw at me.
While these are reasons and not excuses, I do apologise for not being round here and sincerely hope you’re all doing well, no matter where you are on the planet, given these baffling times that we are in.
The way we communicate in the world of work today is continually evolving what with web technologies coming up with increasingly convenient ways for us to communicate and collaborate with colleagues, stakeholders and customers in-house, nationally and abroad.
I was recently approached by an old friend to make a video about what I think would be good tips on the subject of Business English for her to host in her Facebook group for working Indian ladies. With a little spare time recently, I said “Sure, why not?”
I then went about scripting, shooting and editing this video which I think anyone – from entry level graduates, to those climbing up, to seasoned professionals – based anywhere in the world could make use of.
Without further ado, may I present to you My Top 3 Tips in Business English:ย
Tip 1: Getting to the Point Quickly and Clearly
Tip 2: Starting and Ending Emails Appropriately
Tip 3: Being Culturally Intelligent
You might want to sit with a notepad open, as this (38 minutes long) video is based on my insights from my experience working in the corporate and academic sectors and, for those of you who know me, I won’t bore you, I promise! ๐ ๐
I look forward to any comments/queries that you may have and feel free to share this with anyone you think needs it.
Enjoy! ๐
